Tlaib, Bush criticized by Democrats over statements calling for end to Israel support

Rep. Rashida Tlaib released a statement mourning the loss of lives in Gaza and Israel.

The Palestinian-American Congresswoman also asked for an end to "the occupation" of Palestine.

which they each labeled Israel as an apartheid state and called for the U.S. to end funding to the nation,

Tlaib said she continues to “grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day,” before calling

dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.” She has

previously criticized the Israeli government and had denounced a House resolution supporting Israel in a floor speech in July
